I have 1+ year experience as a Software engineer
I applied through referral Program for Software Engineer - 1 Role at Paypal, in july 2021
Got an email for OA in August last. a very late and delayed process.
The test was conducted on HackerEarth. There were 2 questions-
Anyway I received an email stating that I have qualified the OA round and interview was scheduled for next day itself.
1st interview
No one appeared the first day the interview was scheduled on, it was rescheduled for next day.
2nd Interview
3rd interview
Hiring manager round. He was more interested in knowing If I know about scrum and agile methodology etc. Not a technical one. the interviewer seemed impressed.
Result - --------
No contact from team even after lots of email and phone calls, they simply ignored them.
After 2 weeks I called from a different number and they answered by mistake. Told me that I have cleared the final round and asked me to wait for one more week.
They highly emphasised me not to put down my resignation letter in current organisation until I receive offer letter. They litterally kept repeating this only.
After the call realizing that they have just ghosted.
Suggestions to Paypal talent acquisition team-
Please don't waste candidates time. If you don't want to roll out offer to them. Ghosting away is worst than rejecting a candidate : (
