Previous Experience
Graduated from a very well known CS school in May 2020. Have worked full-time for a year at F500 company. Recruiter reached out to me in late July and moved forward with an interview
Interview
Going to be generic since NDA but will provide my overall thoughts on how I did. Also to note, there was 2 LP questions before each interview. Some people say to write down examples for every single LP and memorize them, but honestly I found that giving off the vibe Amazon LPs want you to have overall was simpler and easier.
After the interview
I was downleveled to SDE1, which I am perfectly fine with since I only had 1 year of experience and was expecting SDE1. They mentioned the only area that I was lacking was in System Design (tbh i thought I did decent, but I am also unaware as to what constitutes a good System Design solution) and hence the downlevel. But they were prepared to give me an offer for SDE1.
Closing Thoughts
I personally didnt do that much Leetcode (maybe like 20 or so) leading up to the interview> I spent most my time learning about DSA by itself which I found to be helpful. Also I was convinced I would not get an offer since I required some hints from interviewers in Onsite 2 and 4. But I guess as long as you get a working solution with hints is better than not getting a solution at all
