Education - Tier 3 college.
Work Experience - 9 yrs in service based industry.

2 yrs back I started to prepare for DS Algo and started applied everywhere in good product based company. As I have service based company experience so was not getting any call from good comany. Finally somehow I got a call from walmart and yes this was my opprtunity.

Round1 - Online Assignment Round related to Android.

Need to develop Android app using latest Android Jetpack component. As I have very good experience in android so I was sure to clear this round and that happened also. I just nailed it.

Round 2: DS Algo + Android related questions.

Below questions were asked. I just gave the correct answer and also wrote the optimized code and interviewer was also happy with the code. I could explain the time and space complexity also.

Then he moved to Android related questions. I could answer all of those so interview ended on positive notes. I knew that I had performed really well and yes on next day I got a call to have next round with Hiring manager.

Round 3 : Hiring Manager round:

Before giving this round I went through multiple interview experience of walmart given on glassdoor, leetcode and geek for geeks and yes I was really prepared for this. But to my surprice, nothing came out of that and everything was just a discussion on how I am working in my currently company and and what are my day to day task.

Luckily even though from service based company, I am working for one of the good product based client where we follow the process of creating HLD doc, LLD doc, Flow diagram , sequence diagram and detailed architecture diagram. I explained this to her but to my surprise Hiring Manger told me that it will be difficult for me to work in walmart as you are from service based company guy and here the process is different. I still tried to convience her that it will not take much time for me to learn any new process as I have good technical knowledge and I have worked with multiple clients where everyone has different process.

She asked few more questions on TDD approach of writing the test cases and I could answer all of those.

Interview ended well but I had doubts on wether I will get selected or not as during the interview I was told that I am from service based industry.

And than there was pin drop silence for next 2 weeks and there was no update from walmart on my further round. Suddenly I got a call from consultancy that they have got the update from walmart and I am selected and HR will call me for the salary discussion.

I was like full of joy as it was dream to crack the interview of the company like walmart and to join it.

Than again there was no update for 1 week and finally I got call from walmart team that I am selected and they are taking my profile ahead. Again there was 3 weeks of pin drop silence and then I tried to get the update from them and to my surprise they told me that now they have multiple candidate for the same position so they are not sure wether to give me offer or not.

I understood that I am rejected only and might be I will not get any update from them now.

Luck is not with me but yes I will still try again to crack the interview of good product based company. The only challenge I am facing is that even I have good knowledge of DS algo, I still get less chance to give the interview and even though we can clear the interview but still luck is not with me.

Still I want to say thank you walmart to give me this opportunity. It gave me great confidence that I can clear the technical round of walmart.
