BlackRock | Java Software Engineer | Virtual Onsite

Hi folks,

I have virtual onsite scheduled with BlackRock in 2 weeks. I could'nt find much useful resources regarding interview experiences or interview pattern online. I would really appreacite it if anyone with interview Experience with BlackRock can shed some light here.

Update - Onsite Experience
Current Exp - 3.5+yr
Contracting at Apple.

There were 3 rounds, 45 min each with 15 min break. Each round was taken by a Director/VP for 4 different teams.
Round One - Started off with introductions and basic behavioral question. Then jumped into multi threading and distributed systems discussion.
Round two - Basic introductions. The interviewer wanted me to walk him throught my journey as a Software engineer starting from my bachelors and why i beacme a software engieer, setbacks faced, situations where i failed and learning etc. This round was mostly focused on my journey.
Round three - Basic introductions and behavioral question regarding my projects and experience. High level discussion about messaging queues - like how to set up a message queue, trade off's etc.

From my experience, BlackRock looks for solid OOPS understanding, experience with multithreaded env(actual industry exp), messaging queues and working with distributed systems.

Thanks!!
