No response afterwards. I then replied to the email in May and asked if there was any update. I got a call from the recruiter like a week later saying that Summer is filled but they can interview me for fall. She basically said they stopped reviewing applications and that if I never emailed back then I wouldn't have gotten a chance to interview for this fall. I was just lucky I got a response back.

Virtual Interview (around 1 hr)

  • 25 mins: A LOT of behavioral questions try to make responses before by searching them all up
  • 25 mins: Grilled on data structures and algo, asked about queues, linked lists, stacks, binary trees, graphs, all their functions and time complexities and different ways to implement them. Also asked me about sorting algos and grilled me on time complexity and had to explain how they work. She also asked me how a hashmap works and its different functions, how I'd implement it, etc. She also asked me why I wouldn't use an array to implement a queue (because of a time complexity)
  • 10-15 mins: Leetcode easy problem: https://leetcode.com/problems/monotonic-array/
  • I asked a question about the internship, she was very happy to answer. She was very nice and we had a good convo at the end about Seattle and Vancouver.

Got offer when I was at a club in Miami on Tuesday after interview (I interviewed the Thursday before). Had the biggest party ever.

Prep:

  • Did a data structure/algo course on Udemy for like $15. This helped so much and I would have not gotten this offer if it wasn't for that
  • Did a few leetcode questions but I slacked and could have done more. I was lucky to get an easy question but I studied the medium ones more.
  • Basically sucked off data structures/algo/leetcode for 2 weeks straight

Total compensation including housing stipend: $10649 per month

Extended to 16 week with a potential 20 week internship if manager likes me. I will be starting in August. Hope this helps!
