I had applied for Staff Software Engineer role at walmart. My Current Designation is Software Engineer - 2, I have total 9 years of experience.

Person who had interviewed me also had similar experience. Interviewer was IN3 at walmart. Before I gave introduction he was keen to know why i am switching job, what is the reason behind it.

At the end of interview also he had similar thing to say. He wanted me to understand i have applied for senior role and will i be able to take the responsibility of that role and I am skipping one position in the herirachy without even starting the role. Basically he was morale policing.

Just want to add one thing I had completed the tech task asked in interview successfully within 45 minutes.

In fact he even asked me if i am married or not. He had no interview ethics. I don't owe this answer to anyone in the company. Maybe he was looking for a promotion for the same role and that makes me believe that people with either the same designation or higher should conduct interview. so that someone's jealousy does not play role.

Interviewer was very unprofessional.
