Phone screen - Interviewer asked me open any IDE to write code

1] Given an array of integers nums and an integer target, return list of indices of the two numbers such that they add up to target
2] Add two numarical strings without direct parsing
3] Implement and expain any design pattern

Result - Rejection in screening round
