Location: Bangalore (Interviews were completely virtual)

Application Process:
Received a mail from Amazon recruitment team for SDE2 opening. Applied for the same and was immediately processed for further rounds. Signed an NDA so would not be specifying the exact question.

Round 1: (Online coding + behavioral)
Conducted in Hackerrank
Duration: 2 hrs
Questions: 2 easy/medium questions

Round 2: Algo/DS + LP
Duration: 1 hour

• Question 1: Hard, Similar to this one https://leetcode.com/problems/concatenated-words/
• Question 2: Mediun, Binary tree path sum problem ( Path can be between any two nodes )

Round 3: Algo/DS + LP
Duration: 1 hour

• Question 1: Medium, Similar to finding K Sum subarray (Sliding window)
• Question 2: Medium, Printing Binary Tree in Zig/Zag pattern

Round 4: LLD/HLD + LP
Duration: 1.30 hour

• Question : Design a Database as a Service (DaaS) platform
  • Focus was on API design, Async processing of resource creation/deletion etc

Round 5: HLD + LP
Duration: 1 hour

• Question: Design a Ride booking service for group of theme parks

Round 6: Previous Projects + LP
Duration: 1 hour

• Questions are mostly on previous project design, challenges, choices
• Lot of LP questions

Note: All the rounds had atleast one LP questions asked

Preparation Strategy:

• Solved Top 30 questions asked in Amazon in last 6 months
• Other than that i casually solve leetcode problems and attend weekly contest ( Overall : 238 ( Hard: 19, Medium : 125, Easy: 94 )
