HackerEarth Round (1.5 hours)
Question1 : A ternary string consists of only a, b, c following the given 3 rules
- a's cannot be consecutive.
2.b can appear only once.
Find the nuber of possible ternary string of length n.
Question 2 : maximum water that can be collected between 2 bars if we remove all the bars between them.
Virtual Round 1 (Coding Round)
Question 1: Print bottom view of binary tree
Question 2: Print number of unique elements in a sliding window on an array
Interview was good. Missed to resolve one bug in 2nd question. Interviewer was nice.
Virtual Round 2 (LLD round)
Design a Cricket live score app like EspnCricinfo.
Interview was okay. Interviewer was nice.
Virtual Round 3 (HLD +Leadership Principles)
Question 1 : Tell me about a time when you had to make a design decision
Question 2 : Design a highly distributed server health monitoring system.
Missed adding a load balancer (BIG MISTAKE). Interviewer was nice.
Virtual Round 4 (Design +Leadership Principles)
Question 1 : Tell me about a time when you did something that wan't your responsibility.
Question 2 : Tell me about a time when you disagreed with your team members.
Question 2 : Design a unbounded set where each element inserted has a time to live .
Missed to talk about multithreading aspect. Interviewer was nice.
Result: Rejected. Recruiter told me that I got mixed reviews. Coding was good , but in design rounds, I needed probing to get to some technical points they wanted me to talk about.
