**Status:** New grad, MS CS from Top 60 CS school\n**YOE:** 1 Year as an SDE in a mid-size product based company\n**Position:** SDE1 at Amazon\n**Location:** Seattle, WA\n**Date:** February 3, 2021\n**Interviews:**\n> Online Assessment Part 1 - 3 (January 21)\nPart 1 consisted of code debugging. It was a 20 minutes round in which there were 7 questions. \nSolved all 7 questions successfully.\n\n> Online Assessment Part 2 - 3 (January 21)\nPart 2 consisted of coding and workstyle assessment. \nHad 70 minutes to complete the coding assessment. It had 2 questions, the first one was LeetCode easy, and the second one required a comparator based sorting (Not disclosing the exact questions due to NDA). Used Java for the first one, but switched to Python for the second. \nNote: Should have noted down these question, along with their solutions. It would have helped in the final round of the interview.\nWorkstyle assessment had questions that had to be answered keeping Amazon\'s Leadership Principles in mind. \n\n> Online Assessment Part 3 - 3 (January 22)\n Part 3 was an SDE work simulation round. As they like to say "The SDE Work Simulation is an interactive simulation designed to give you a window into a typical day in the life of an SDE at Amazon". It had questions like ranking the effectiveness of different approaches to solving common challenges faced by an Amazonian. Some of the scenarios included deciding between one of the two potential projects at Amazon, how to deal with team conflicts, an underperforming colleague, or an overwhelming project. Again, answered these questions keeping Amazon\'s LP in mind.\n \n> Final Round (Feb 3)\nHad a friendly chat with a Senior Software Developer at Amazon, Seattle office. Discussed the approach I used for solving the two OA-2 questions. For both of the questions, there were better solutions available. However, was able to answer and explain for only the first one. For the latter half of the interview, I was asked about my preference in terms of teams I would like to join and also the type of work.
