Position: Associate Consultant at Microsoft IGD
Location: Hyderabad, India

Total 5 rounds: (Due to NDA cannot share the exact question, but will try to keep as raw as possible)

1. Online Coding round.
2. DS / Algo round : A question on graph was asked. Basically we need to find the grand children of a each node in the graph. Something like friend of friend in a network graph. Told me to write production level code
   I first discussed all the scenarios and inputs we can have. Gave a BFS solution using queue. Told me to code it down.
   Gave the solution, then we dry ran the code. Asked some follow up questions. This round went well.
3. Manager / System Design Round: Had a long discussion with the Engineering Manager regarding my current work at my current company. Later she gave me a design question to design a courier tracking system. (Went well - not great but okayish)
4. DS/ System Design: I don't remember what was asked.
5. Bar Raiser Round : LLD of a bookMyShow like service with some constraints.

After 2-3 days, I received an email from recruiter that I didn't make it. I was not much prepared on System design questions, was more prepared on DS/Algo, but they asked a lot on SD.

I have been working hard since April provided having a tough time at office with lot of work. Let's hope for best and see what is lined up next. Peace!
