I recently had an onsite for Amazon Seattle. I had 4 rounds, but 3 of the rounds asked me an OOD question, while only 1 round had an algorithmic question. While the NDA prevents me from disclosing the exact questions, the OOD questions can be found in the LC Discuss section and the algorithmic question is one of the more popular tagged questions asked in the last 6 months. I wanted to ask whether this is the new normal for Amazon, especially for SDE 1s? I was told in the recruiter call that I would have 3 algorithmic rounds and 1 OOD round but that clearly wasn't the case.
I haven't received the result yet, but it's likely a rejection because I was tired of the vague requirements by the 4th round and wasn't as prepared for OOD as I was for data structures & algorithms.
