Hi everyone,
I have a virtual onsite interview coming up for Amazon next week. I have decent understanding of DS/Algo with prep I did for OA and OOO Design mostly from my current job.
I have been focusing on System Design question as it is important for Amazon interview. This is where I am really struggling to prepare. As I have spent most of my time in firmware and mobile application development and have not worked on backend system much.
Through my Engineering degrees and requirements for mobile applications itself, I understand the terms such as Load balancers/Gateway, cache, APIs, DB (SQL/NoSQL) etc and how they work. But when I come across more concrete tools and terms, say Cassandra, Redis, Kafka, Spark, Hadoop etc, I get concerned. Ofcourse, I can Google them and know what they are about. But, I doubt that will not help as I have never used them myself and will bomb I'm asked more details about it.
Has anyone else been in same boat? Or have any guide for me on where I should and should not focus on?
Thanks in advance!
