Scope of Deep Learning in India in Future

Hi guys, Currently I'm working as a SDE2 and have around 4 YOE. I've started liking Deep Learning lately and have been reading about it.

Is it a good idea to slowly change my career to ML engineer role? I'm doing good with my current role. But I'm not feeling a sense of satisfaction with the job.

I searced for job openings in LinkedIn for Deep Learning as the keyword. But I was not able to find many openings in Bangalore. Is it that we have less opportunities for DS domain in India? Would it be a good decission to dig my hands in that domain? Also I'm having only B.Tech degree from a Tire 2 college. Is PHd/masters mandatory to get interview calls in India? I've a couple of publications under belt in some conferences but that's not related to ML domain though. It was related to the research work I've done for my project in industry. Totally a different domain.
