It feels like noone else in my life is trying to further their career. Even the college friends who has the same CS degree are all complacent with their current dead end jobs. It's especially frustrating to see the people whom I know are smarter than I am like that.

How do they not see that they could be doing the same work just at a better company and make multiple folds more? Worse, how are they not scared shitless that the people smarter than us are constantly pushing us out?

I know that the life is a marathon but sometimes it feels like I'm the only one running. It's difficult to keep the pace when there's noone spotting you.

For that, I appreciate you the LC community. Your posts with successes and failures, the stories of your hard work and dedication are what keeps me running.

Keep on going as you are. I'll meet you at the top.
