Straight forward solution vs the correct solution in the first attempt

Might be a silly question as I'm giving the FANG interviews for the first time :)
When the interviewer asks a question that we have already solved then can we straight away go into the solution? Or is it better to talk about the straight forward / brute force approaches first and then ARRIVE at the solution?
Wouldn't the first method suggest that we have already memorised the solution?
And wouldn't the second method suggest that we are ACTING as if we FOUND the solution during interview?
Thoughts?
