Ok, so we live in the world of COVID-19 so all the interviews are not done over VC. I wonder how is the visual setup of the environment you are taking the interviews.
The reason for asking is that I realized how strongly and positively I was biased when a candidate during an interview had had a minimalist setup with an iconic poster of Steve Jobs.
I guess the reason for posting here is that if I'm looking for a nice background, something that matches my interest in geeky stuff. But I guess a poster with Gang of Four or CAP theorem is slightly too hard to share across.
On a different note, I find Zoom's virtual backgrounds slightly tacky.
Something that works magically is using a combination of good lighting and a DSLR as a webcam.
Other suggestions?
