I would like to know from those who are Android Developers, applying for android positions at the top tech companies such as Facebook, Amazon and Google, what type of System Design questions get asked normally? Are they the typical back-end infrastructure type of questions that focus mainly on the distributed systems in the web or are they more focused towards Android system architecuture that focus on mobile (client) side and has a lot to do with memory and performance, knowledge about the SDK etc?

I recently gave an onsite with one of these companies and all of the system design rounds were focused on Android system design only. I prepared for almost a month preparing just for this round. I relied heavily on Google's documentation, Engineering Blogs of these companies, and some medium blogs that I found from leetcode posts, that gave me some guidelines. I have limited experience in Android (I recently transitioned from a Unity Game Developer and AR/VR app developer to being a full-time Android engineer), so preparing for these interviews has been quite challenging for me, given such limited resources our there on this topic. Plus, your industry experience in this field factors quite a lot in your level of performance in these interviews. I got a rejection, and the specific feedback from the recruiter was that I failed to dive deeper into one of the components of the system. My coding and behavioural went really well according to them. This is kind of a dead end for me because when it comes to diving deeper into any specific area, my lack of experience shows. How can I overcome this and prepare myself for the other interviews without having to wait to gain years of experience in this field. For context, I have been a software engineer for 8 years with a masters in CS. So I have strong technical background in general, its just that the Android specific experience is lacking.
