✅ Grind 75 Reviews and Tips

Grind75 - https://www.techinterviewhandbook.org/grind75?grouping=topics

Hey there fellow coders!

I wanted to share my journey of completing the Grind 75 Challenge on LeetCode. First things first, it didn't take me the "75" days as the challenge suggests. It took me about 90 days. And guess what? That's absolutely fine. Don't rush it; take your time and enjoy the process.

When I began, I didn't just jump into solving problems randomly. I had a strategy. I sorted the challenges by topics and analyzed them one by one. I believe in being methodical. So, here are some tips for newbies like me:

Choose Your Weapon (or Language)

Picking the right programming language is vital. The Grind 75 Challenge not only hones your problem-solving skills but also deepens your understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) in your chosen language. For me, it was JavaScript. Since I aspire to be a full-stack developer, it made perfect sense.

Plan Your Attack

Planning is half the battle. I created a study plan for myself. My strategy was to study ahead. For example, if the first topics were Arrays, Stacks, and Queues, I ensured I had a solid grasp of these concepts before diving into the challenge.

GitHub to the Rescue

Keeping track of your progress is crucial. So, I made a GitHub repository https://github.com/TejveerSingh13/ProblemSkill- , where I added and implemented all the DSA concepts. Typing them out really helps. You can take a look at my repo to see how I organized things.

Implement as You Go

As you learn each Data Structure, make sure to implement it yourself. It really solidifies your understanding. Refer to my GitHub repo for reference. By the end of the challenge, I felt super confident with all the DS.

The Daily Grind

Now, the real challenge. I committed to doing one challenge a day. Sometimes, I even tackled two. Initially, I would struggle with a problem for hours, but I realized it's essential to set a time limit. Give it your all, and if you can't crack it in that time, leave it for the day. The next day, spend 30 minutes on it, and if it's still a mystery, jump into the discussion. Learning from others is a valuable part of this journey.

Learning to Understand

It's completely normal for it to take a day or two to grasp someone else's solution. But that's a part of the process. Understanding is key. Make sure you comprehend the code and then type it out without copying. This way, you build a resource for the future.

Learn from the Best

For problems you could solve, that's great! But it's not a competition with others. Head to the discussion and find the best solution. And if you've devised a solution that's better than 85% of the others, don't keep it to yourself. Make a post, share your approach and intuition so you can help others too.

In the end, it's okay if you don't score higher than everyone else. The learning process is the real treasure here.

If you've made it this far in your coding journey, a massive thumbs up! Keep it up, keep coding, and keep learning. And remember, your journey doesn't end here. What's your next challenge? 😊
