I've just signed up to leetcode, hopefully this is the right place to ask.

I started studying computer science 6 months ago with the goal to become a software engineer and so far the (only) actually useful tool I've learned is Java.

Now I plan on working as an intern pretty soon and I just wanted to ask: What are the basic tools that every (Java) software engineer needs to know? For the record, I'm pretty much clueless when it comes to anything in software engineering besides java, I don't know any frameworks or what git clients exactly are.

I'd appreciate it if any (Java) developers could give me a rough guideline for what I need to educate myself on, in order to become a java developer that can actually be useful to a company and work there.
