Hello Everyone,\n\nCurrently I am enrolled in a PhD program in United States. I have completed 2 semesters here. But now, for various reasons, I want to switch to a job if I am able to land one. I have already applied to some FAANG companies but I didn\'t hear back from them. I also used referral while applying to these companies. Following is my short summary of my resume:\n\n* 1.5 years experience as a Software Engineer in Bangladesh\n* Currently working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant\n* Internship experience from a research lab of a university in the US\n\nI also have been a competitive programmer in my undergraduate studies with moderate achievements. I mentioned all of these in my resume. I also mentioned that I am currently enrolled in a PhD program.\n\n**Does currently being enrolled in a PhD program in US disqualifies me or puts my resume behind as a candidate? While submitting the resume I had this thought in mind, that, could the recruiter think that I still have a long time to graduate and that\'s why I am not hearing back from recruiters?** These are some questions in mind. Please help me answering them.
