Anyone else in Canada also just get put onto a waitlist?

Applied in early April, did 3x45 late April and just got an email today saying the positions have been filled for the new grad program but that I'm on some sort of list if I choose to opt in.

Anyone know what happened to waitlisted people last year? How good are our chances?
