I recently appeared for Google interviews for "Application Engineer" role. I have cleared all rounds of interviews and few Fit calls as well. Now after all this process, I came to know that "Application Engineer" role is not same as "Software Engineer" and now I am kinda panicking. Currently I am working as Software Engineer II at Microsoft . Should I be leaving this job for "Application Engineer" role at Google. I am really stuck here. Can someone help me understand what is the difference between the two different role. And is it really worth joining Google for this ? Please help.
