Got my first (virtual) onsite coming up consisting of 5 interviews. When I asked the recruiter about the type/format of each of the 5 interviews (machine learning, data structures & algos, sys. design, behavioral, bar-raiser etc.), they said all will be mix of behavioral+technical and that they cannot say anything more than that. I find this rather odd as I thought recruiters at Amazon shared the type of each interview even if the candidates don't go out of their way to ask for it. Oh well :/ .
Since this is my first ever final interview for a ML Eng. position, I am a bit confused about a few things:
If anyone has any experience with ML Eng. final rounds at Amazon Berlin, I'd appreciate suggestions (especially for ML sys. design prep. material as I don't have much experience there)!
Also, what do you make of the following schedule (guess the interview type/format. It might help to decide what to revise during the breaks between interview):
| Interviewer # | Title | My Guess |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Front-End Eng. III | Bar Raiser (probably object oriented design) |
| 2 | Sr. SDE | Data Structures & Algos |
| 3 | Sr. Applied Sci. | ML Interview (maybe also a ML case study?) |
| 4 | SDE + ML Eng. | ML Sys. Design (or could be ML coding? e.g. K-means from scratch) |
| 5 | Applied Sci. Manager | Hiring Manager Interview (no clue what to expect) |
Any advice on what to expect in each one of these rounds will also be helpful! Thanks!
