I am about to appear for Uber SDE 2 and Amazon SDE 2 interview rounds for their Bangalore office. I have read a lot of interview experiences for both and they both have a project discussion round(usually with Hiring Manager or Bar Raiser).
In almost all the interview experiences, most of the candidates have just mentioned "In depth project discussion".
I have been a part of 2 teams in my current firm and I have lost code access to last team's code repo after leaving that team(its been more than 1.5 yrs since then). Though I remember fair amount of details about the projects I worked on in the last team but there are some concrete details that I might not be able to recall.
I want to know exactly how detailed the project discussion goes ? Can someone please share the exact questions(or type of questions) that were asked ?
In particular:
- Do they ask you to draw the LLD (OOD design, DB Schema Design, API design) of your projects in detail [ as I might not be able to recall all the details for the last team's project :( ] ?
- Do they randomly pick up any project to explain or ask you to explain any one of your projects ?
- How should one prepare for this round ? How much implementation details should I look into ?
