I will be interviewing for SDE1 role and my recruiter specifically told me to preapre for situations which I have faced AT WORK. Initially I thought it would be ok to just give some examples about situations faced in life and not necessarily while working as an employee. But the recruiters choice of words has me confused. How do candidates who dont have any work experience (not even internships) deal with questions about situations they have never faced? Is it ok to be honest and tell them the truth or making up fake stories is the only way to succeed?
