I graduated from a Tier 3 college in 2020 and have 1.5 YOE. I have been preparing for SDE 2. I see all the compensation posts mention the college tier. Does company look for one's college tier to decide the salary for people with 2+ YOE? If so, how much effect does one's college tier have and will one with very good technical skills compete with higher tier college graduates?
