My work is mostly writing low level processes in C, for devices. Have CS background and good in algorithm and DS. Want to switch to a proper software job badly, but scared that I wont get calls from companies due to my current work experience, gettingf calls only for device based work, kind of embedded. Don't want to work closely with hardware side. Any advice on how to switch?
