How serious are FAANG companies about proper coding syntax onsite?

Assume you are interviewing FAANG companies onsite, you found the algorithm that solves the question optimally and somehow you explained it on board etc.
According to your experiences ; what is the toleration to syntax errors, how close should your code be to "runs without issues" ?
This is not an easy to explain question but may be direct experince would help us figure it our ourselves. Such as "I never put the semicolons and it came out rejected" or "I was to excited and realized that I did not create the stack in the proper syntax but they were ok." etc.
Thank you.
