Problem solving experience so far:
I'm sitting at 202 problems solved at the moment. I had a great experience rolling through the premium explore sections to work on specific data structures and algorithms. The top 100 liked and company specific questions are wonderful too.
It seems that developing clean ways to model the problem being solved is incredibly important after moving to being more focused on medium problems. I've had a lot of ups and downs getting to where I am at, and have seen friends for the real world burn out before getting through easy problems. I hope you all can find the patience and discipline to get to the level of proficiency in the set of algorithms and data structures we see here, it can become enjoyable solving these problems. The community here is especially wonderful, and I think I'll continue even after securing a job after settling in at a next position.
Interviewing experience so far:
-One bad experience, definitely was not ready, and could tell the interviewer didn't like my lack of domain experience for the position
-Lots of opportunites from FAANG/FAANG-Tier companies ( 4 available for screens now )
For those of you have been through the FAANG interviews, what standards would you set for yourself before accepting screenings and interviews? Was it company specific? It seems that Google > Facebook > Apple > Amazon in terms of difficutly, and I have no idea where to slate Netflix.
So far I've tried to set standards as:
-2 mediums in 40 minutes or so for FB
-It seems medium is standard for Amazon, with lots of LP studying
-Netflix seems more random
I'd hate to burn the cards in my hands with all of them wanting to initiate screening interviews by not being completely ready. Do you think things will work out with the recruiters if I try to push back dates on others?
