I think the number of submissions and accepted submissions are inflated, because you want to see how fast the official solutions are.
Also, you might run the solutions discussed in the discussion section to see how good is that one. For this scenario, if we have a checkbox beside the submit button to inform the system not to consider this as a genuine submission, the number will be way more accurate.
