[SOLVED] "Switch to old version" option disappears time to time

Greetings,

This has happened me in the past and would like a work-around, as it is kinda frustrating. I prefer, like many others, the old UI and hence I constantly use the "Switch to old version" option under profile dropdown menu. I do agree with others' suggestions to make that choice permanent; but I can tolerate having to switch manually time to time.

What really becomes annonying is when the "Switch to old version" just vanishes! Not sure why, may be a bug or something; but it has happened to me a few times in the past. The problem is that I do not know what to do when that occurs, I try toggling the "Opt-in for further beta testing" option on and off, logging in and out, many combos of these, restarting browser, etc; but nothing seems to work. If I recall correctly, the problem fixes itself after sometime, but is something I can not control. Hence, what ends up happening is that I just stop using leetcode for some days until the option is back; which is really bad as user experience. The new UI is not really an option for me, and ancient gods know I have tried it.

Actually, merely using this phorum under new UI is quite a challenge; the problem is the same than for code editor: by trying to avoid users to scroll down/up, maybe with good intentions, you are sacrificing space and usability on the most important section of the UI (the place where you code or type text). Actually, another unwanted effect with new UI is that it forces you to choose a quite small font, such that you can see all the lines without scrolling left/right; definitely not good accessibility-wise.

The old UI honored the code/text section pretty well, and scaled quite decently as user zooms in/out (cause yes, users want to pick their desired font size; not the one that your front-end developers think is correct!). I certainly do not mind at all to scroll down/up to find the other elements of the UI, that is way preferred than scrolling left/right; the main reason for that, again, is that I can easier inspect my code/text, I do not even need the mouse for that, which is more productive.

Please give me a hand, I would like to have a consistent workaround when this occurs. And even better, just stop switching to the new UI; please listen to your user base and stop forcing us to use something we do not want.

Thanks.
