Hi All, I have offer from Abnormal Security for SDE II position. Wanted to know what should I do if offer is made. Have added details in below about same.
YOE - 5Y (6Y with internship)
Education - BTech from Tier 3 University
Current
Position: SDE III at a Product Company
Current Comp:
- Base: 38L (39L CTC)
- ESOPS: 12L (vested over 4 year)
- WFH Full Remote
- Standard Benefits
Additional: I will be getting hike in April as well around 10% for sure. So that makes my fix as 41.5L around.
Offer
Position: SDE II at Abnormal
- Base: 48L (negotiating here)
- Variable: 12% of Base yearly: 5.8L
- RSU's: 30k $ (It's private equity though, not sure when they will go public) [Vested over 4 years]
- One Time Relocation: 2L
- Other allowances: 1.5L
- Standard Benefits (Better than current)
- Hybrid (Bengaluru) [WFO 2 days]
- First Year pay - ~58 L (first year without stocks)
I have doubt's
- While fix jump is not huge, variable pay is covers it.
- Shifting from WFH to WFO setup moving from home seems to be hassle.
- RSU's are beneficial but its paper money if they don't go public soon.
- Position wise I am taking a cut which seems fine as I want to focus on IC as well and my current WLB is shit just that WFH happens to be beneficial.
- If anyone can answer from tech standpoint and learning that would also help.
