Compensation Details:
- Signing Bonus: ₹1,00,000 INR
- Base Pay: ₹10,60,000 INR
- Relocation Bonus: ₹3,00,000 INR (non-taxable) + ₹41,000 INR (one month basic pay)
- Stocks: 4,000 USD (vested over 4 years)
- Performance Bonus: 0-20% of base salary

In addition to the salary, both the employee and employer's contribution to the Provident Fund (PF) will be deducted from your monthly salary. Apart from this, you also receive a component called GP (Global Allowance), which is around ₹1,36,000 INR in your first salary. The entire tax for the year is deducted based on the tax regime (new or old) chosen, and the tax amount is approximately equivalent to the GP component of ₹1,36,000 INR. Therefore, you can consider that you won’t need to pay any tax in the first year, as the GP covers the entire tax amount. Please note that the GP component is not mentioned in the offer letter.
In your first year, you also have the opportunity to visit Microsoft’s Seattle office for a 3-4 day event called "Accelerate", which is specially designed for new hires. This seven-day trip is fully reimbursed by Microsoft.
After accounting for PF and all other deductions, your take-home salary in the first year is approximately ₹78,000 INR per month.
