My Confusion:

I’m currently comfortable with Java and Spring Boot and have been working on distributed systems.

  • Fivetran allows me to continue with Core Java, which aligns with my current expertise and interests. The hybrid work model is also appealing for better work-life balance.

  • inMobi offers the opportunity to learn and work in Big Data, a new domain for me. It’s a significant shift from my current tech stack. While Big Data seems promising for the future, I’m unsure if making this switch now is the right move.

  • Both saying they are planning to go to IPO in 1-2 years

Questions for the Community

1.	Is shifting to Big Data worth it at this point in my career?
2.	Does Big Data have a strong future in the tech industry?
3.	Should I prioritize staying in my comfort zone (Java/Core Java)
or take the risk of transitioning to a new domain?

I would appreciate any advice or insights based on your experiences with these technologies and career decisions.
