I got rejected from
Amazon (rejected in first round) - ghosted by recruiter
Microsoft (no update after 1 month) - ghosted by recruiter
Google (4th round) -> Great experience so far even i rejected!! So much i learned from all rounds. Happy Here
Coupang (6th round i got rejected after 1 month of interview loop :() -> heartbroken
Wayfair (1st round)
ServiceNow (1st round) 0> Left interview in 20 mins as interviewer was not listening.
Atlassian (3rd round) -> all went pretty good but was ghosted by recruiter (2nd try in 4 months)
Coinbase (1st round)
So i want to tell you guys one thing don't lose hope and keep on persisting inspite things don't go your way. At one point i thought this is an infinite and never ending loop. I was expecting coupang offer for sure but did not get and was also positive on Microsoft. Not sure on Salesforce but got the offer. Hence there is a hope for everyone. Just keep doing & take a break if you feel fatigued. The road is very long but you are not alone.
Outer image is this dude earns so & so. But actual reality is
- Interview pressure. (just 30 mins before you feel numb due to expectation you set on yourself)
- Handle things when you completely don't know the answer. How to pray that your current interview just finishes. Your brain has limits
- You forget lot of things which you are capable of without interview pressure.
- Sometime IDE not allowed hence typing manually on platform is overkill. Don't know what interviewer expecting.
- Google expect O(N) not O(N + N) which essentially almost same but they reject folks based on double loop. So sick.
- Gave couple of interview when my leg is paining and i was under fever. The show has to go on.
At the end i feel employer should have mercy and use common sense judging candidates. There is so much things going in preparation. Judging is easiest job. Performing under immense judgement is toughest job.
My family was with me in very tough times and they sacrificed a lot for me. I am not gonna forget and they are my first priority. Even as a failed person they accepted me and there is no difference pre and post this offer. I realized i had everything even without job. Family >>>>> Career
