Accenture visited Thapar University Patiala in 2022 for the Advanced Application Engineering Analyst role
Eligibility criteria included a BTech degree with a CGPA greater than 6.5. They selected a substantial number of candidates, totaling 42 individuals, including those from non-computer science backgrounds.
The recruitment process comprised four rounds:
- Three rounds of Online Assessment (OA).
- A final HR round.
- The first OA round comprised six sections focusing on computer fundamental aptitude.
- The second round included two coding questions, one at an easy level and the other at a medium level.
- The third round evaluated English communication skills, writting skills, reading and understanding comprehensions.
- Fourth round was an Resume/Projects Grill + HR interview lasting 45 minutes.
The online test was conducted via the Metal platform and comprised 90 multiple-choice questions across six sections, including English ability, critical reasoning and problem-solving, abstract reasoning, common applications, MS Office, pseudo code, networking security, and cloud. The overall difficulty level of the questions ranged from medium to hard.
Joining locations offered included Bangalore, Hyderabad, Gurgaon, and Pune. Initially, candidates were given the option to choose their preferred work location, but later, more than 60% were assigned to other locations not of their preference. The offer letters were issued late, on August 31st, with the first joining date set for September 26, 2023. The hiring process occurred in three phases: September 26th, October 15th, and November 24th.
The compensation package offered a Total CTC of 12.59 LPA, comprising:
Base Salary: 9 LPA
Variable Pay: 1.89 LPA
Joining Bonus: 1 LPA
Gratuity and Insurance: 70k
Additional benefits not included in the CTC were monthly Wi-Fi reimbursement, a one-time reimbursement of 18k for WFH setup, an extra 20k for relocation assistance, and monthly outings and events.The Salary would be credited 2nd last day of every month.
