Microsoft SDEII compensation | I need some help

I'll have a call to discuss compensation. This is a remote job at Microsoft. Dollar is much more valuable than my country's currency. I was thinking about asking for $5000 month in compensation, which is more than double my current salary. Is this OK? Or should I avoid that as they'll probably ask my current salary? Or should I avoid it because Microsoft is trying to lower costs? I really don't want to scare Microsoft from me, as I this is my dream opportunity.

EDIT:
(1) To help everyone with the same question I had. The answer is yes, Microsoft (I guess other big tech also do similar) adapts the compensation based on your country. So yes, we should avoid asking for US based compensations. I got a pretty good package of benefits comparing with my current position, the level and country where I live.

(2) Thanks for the advice of letting them talk about compensation first. Yep, they did that.
