I have been working in a startup for 2 years, where we work on a microservice architecture. I have worked on building sclabale web services (backend) which involves low level designing, sometimes HLD, so basically all the components (such as DB, Redis, Nosql, kafka, Scheduler, Distributed systems) needed to build a scalabale microservice. I have got a good idea about these and these things really fascinate me (also i have great mentors in my current company).

I am getting an offer from one of the FANG companies, I am joining their cloud division but the kind of projects/work I will be assigned is opposite to a distributed systems (which I have worked on mostly) I will be developing tools for the cloud platform and these tools will be used by cloud clients. Which is mostly building sdks, libraries etc and core engineering stuff related to cloud platform development. Also this will one of those chances when you get to build cloud level services which will be used not only internally but publicly, which will be a great responsibility and exciting.

I am not sure whether I should chose this path or not. Or should I explore this. Anyone who has explored both the worlds can you share some light on this. Would love to know insights from the experienced guys from the community.** (I have 10 days before I join the new one)**

PS: I am not hesitant to any new challenges. But I just want to know if this would be worth it.
