I have around 8 years of experience mostly around desktop application development using c++ and Qt. All the companies I have worked so far are not Tier 1. I have been doing leetcode of late and the progress has been good.\n\nMy observation is all FAANG or Tier 1 companies look for Full stack / Backend engineers.So do I stand a chance to get shortlisted or even considered for these roles? My design experience has been around OOAD but all Tier1 companies ask design experience in scalable systems. Enterprise Desktop apps is not such thing.\n\nI hope blind community can help to me figure out if its possible to crack such companies with my 8 year experience. I am ready to learn and not in hurry? If web experience is mandatory, can anyone point me to a learning path?
