I've been working in IT for 4 years now in various roles at IBM. These roles included, in order
Starting January 30th 2020, I began self-teaching and implemented a daily practice in HTML, CSS, and then eventually JS. My goal is to land a front-end developer role sometime in February 2021 when this Gov't contract ends.
I realize I have about zero work experience using these front-end technologies and so I'm planning on applying to Junior Dev positions rather than Senior, but I'm afraid I'll have to lose my 110k salaray (I live in DC metro area) for a 60-70k starting salary that's typical for new developers.
Do you think I'm in a position to negotiate something around 100k given I do have "relevent" software development experiene over the past 4 years, even if it's not with HTML, CSS, or JS?
