I am a B.Tech UG from <not_so_famous_institute> in India, who is currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering. From my childhood I've always been fascinated by computers, it's hardware, and the software that controls the physical hardware. I started coding from a young age(relative to any other kid here in India). Long story short... I love developing websites(full-stack), and also love working with Machine Learning, i.e. I was always interested in Development Coding and was never into Competetive Coding but around 4 months ago I started my journey into the world of Competetive Coding, and since then I have come far... I have a decent rank on few Competetive Coding websites and have solved 250+ questions on LeetCode in the previous 2 months, but now I think that this effort was not worth it.
I have currently entered the 3rd year of my study, my internship in the Summer was canceled due to COVID-19 and thus I have no internship to showcase on my RESUME, and whichever company I apply to, whichever HR I contact, reject my application at first sight. My resume didn't even qualify for VMware selection round and was rejected by several other companies(the ones who accepted my profile were not ready to provide me a stipend) . I send "connection request" to HRs begging them to give me a chance to appear for the "DS-Algo interview", promising that I'll nail it, but they never accept my request.
To be honest, I feel helpless, like I know that I've got the skills, I am 100% sure about my skills and commitment to work but no one is ready to give me a chance. From the last 4 months I've been solving DS-A questions every day, but getting no output for my effort I've decided to quit. I am in my 3rd year and I am ashamed of saying that "I haven't yet earned a single penny". My GitHub calendar is green, but it doesn't matter to anyone. I wish I were in a premium institute. :)
EDIT: Date 12/8/2020 I've got an chance to be interviewed at Google, Thanks to all of you for your motivating comments... I will give my 100%
