Hi Community,

I am working as a Fullstack developer from the last 12 months. Currently, I am looking for a job change, I am confused between whether to apply for Front end specific roles or the SDE roles.

The reason that I am confused is, I want to work on the back end systems in a large scale system to experience how the code is scaled and how to write code for distributed systems. But at the same time., I feel am not so good with Object ORiented programming which feels to me like I might loose my job if take this risk in one of the FAANG.

However, I feel confident with my front end job skills (Front end interview skills, I need to hone them), I believe I can get the job done in the front end part.

Overall, I have 3 years of experience in dev (predominently front end frame works apart from the last 1 year). I want to overcome this confusion and go in a clear path in my career from the near future. I want advise from the community, if you're in the same boat or some one who has over come this situation, what is your advise to me. I had noted down all the pros and cons to get some better idea of my needs but that did not help either
