A bit of a background. I'm from Chennai, India. I have currently submitted my Ph.D. thesis on Neural computing, and am waiting to defend the same after due review processes. I have nil industry experience. All these years I have never thought about a career in the tech industry as I have always had a passion for teaching and research.

My work is more about developing a proof of concept than about coding. I just wrote code to get my work done and never really got into optimizing the code. Reading through the interview experience section I realised that for an entry level job, code optimization is as important as getting the logic right. I am willing to work on it in the next few months as I have time till the COVID situation clears up and my kids get back to school.

So what kind of a tech role should I be looking to start with?
