I am posting on behalf of my daughter who is a smart, 12-year old girl. She is very good at math (at AMC 10/12 level, including counting/probabilities), and wants to learn competitive programming, starting from python. Her goal is USACO. Currently, she can do codewars beginner-level problems (about level 6).

An ideal tutor should have good communication skills and welcoming personality, and be able to have engaging conversation with a child. The tutor is expected to design a teaching plan, such as target skills, topics (algorithm) and sample questions, and challenge questions for homework. So, you should know what to teach a child step by step, come up with a few testing questions to assess her level, etc.

The schedule is about 1-2 hours per lesson, 2-3 lessons per week, for months or longer.
