Recently, certain companies disignated Bay Area, NewYork, and Seattle as equivalent. ie. if you recieve an offer to any of the 3 locations it is the same. Similarily if you move between those equivalent locations you keep your compensation.
My question is: if you move from Bay Area to Vancouver, Canada which is the most expensive city in Canada. Is it considered equivalent?
Anyone knows how Appl and Amazon handle that? since they have offices in both locations?
Thank you.
