I graduated in 2018 and have been working as an Oracle DBA for the last two years. I want to switch my career path to software engineering. I recently started learning the technologies involved in MERN stack and have developed a few beginner-level projects. I am also trying to hone my programming skills using Leetcode and mostly use Python. I am not sure if I am in the right direction though! Can anyone, who is currently working as SDE, please guide? What are the skill requirements recruiters are looking for? Should I invest more time on DS and Algo or on developing new projects? Please help.
