I've had interviews with most of the top tech companies but I never seem to get any interest from Microsoft, even after I had a referral from one of their employees. I did work for them briefly as a result of their purchase of Nokia but I'm not sure why that should disqualify me.

So I was wondering whether Microsoft recruiters look for anything different in candidates than other recruiters from top tech companies?
