I am currently an SWE working on an H1B visa. I recently secured a job in top 5 tech company and they are asking me to work as soon as they apply for the visa transfer since USCIS has paused premium processing.

My current company was actively laying off people before, but they've commited to not fire anymore people while the Coronavirus situation lasts.

I am really unsure about how to make a choice in this situation. Any advice would be appreciated.
