So I'm currently in HS learning C++ by myself. I'm really interested in game development with Unreal and C++, but is it too early to start taking this seriously? Should I just learn the basics now, and wait until later on (perhaps university) to start learning C++? Or will learning C++ now help me greatly in the long run?

And if learning now can help me, what are some suggestions to websites/books that I can take a look on?
